RYMAN THEATER

We were real lucky and got to see the Grand Ole Opry in the Ryman theater.  This was some experience.  It was a live radio show with commercials.  We saw Ricky Skaggs, the Whites, Riders in the Sky, and Jim Ed Brown.

Jackson, Tennesse

Our first trip of the year was to Jackson and Nashville, Tennessee and then back through Tupelo, Mississippi.

These pictures are from our time in Jackson. The first pictures were taken at the train museum in the old depot downtown.

The next pictures were taken at the Casey Jones museum and house.

The next picture is a painting of the great train crash immortalized in the folk song.  Casey Jones slowed down enough before he hit so that he was the only one killed.

Last Trip of the Year: Florida

In December we took a car trip to Florida to visit David's sister and her husband.  They live Cape Coral.  While we were there we went to explore some of the Everglades.
